Everneath

I've been reading this book Everneath by Brodi Ashton. I went to a conference where she and another author were present and reading the first chapters of some soon to be\really want to be writers. My dad had taken me along to get some notes for my book and get his book edited by Brodi.

I've been requesting this book, Everneath, to my library for almost a year now and they finally got it in. It's pretty dang good and I would defiantly suggest it as a to read. :)

A bit of my writing...

K, this isn't professional or anything, so don't be expecting too much but this is a bit of my writing....enjoy I guess...

We look like you but appearances can be deceiving. We could walk among you and you won’t think twice about it. We seem like you but we are not you. Alas, such similarities come with a deadly price for the cause that they will kill you if they think you are one of us, brutally, bloodily, and without remorse. So hide, for there is nothing left you can do; hide and never come out. And remember all is lost when hope is gone.
The war was intensely fought and sorely lost. We stood no chance against the forces of Myron and his Knights so I wonder why we even tried. Their numbers were far greater than that of King Eztvon. But we did fight bravely and many died valiantly but alas our efforts weren’t enough to save our proud planet, Athore, from the wrath of Myron.
Now, weeks later, the death of Eztvon taking its effect on all of us, the disappearance of his son raising questions, we all struggle to regain what remains of our possessions while avoiding the Knight’s gaze. I’ve seen them kill a few, randomly, for no good reason. I was close to death once too when a Knight threatened to slit my throat because of my sick brother holding up a food line. I was lucky to escape with my life and the life of my brother for that matter but I still try to evade their watching eyes as much as I can.
            My name is Lydia...

Brandon Mull....

I just have to say this,
Brandon Mull, you are my writing hero. Yes, I know that sounds cheesy but it's true. Before I read the Fablehaven series I HATED any form of reading, with a live, burning passion. Then I read this book and fell in love. Mr. Mull you are a master with words and the third book in the Beyonders was AMAZING. I laughed, cried, and somehow managed to hug and throw the book at the same time. It was a masterpiece of a story. If anyone hasn't read any of his books I Highly recommend it.-It's just my kind of writing.- (yes, I understand that that was a lame attempt at a joke)

To read

Okay, so I'm just finishing (about 100 something more pages left) this one book, The Hourglass Door, by Lisa Mangum. It's pretty good so far. It's kept me hooked and that...that can sometimes be hard. But I personally would suggest it as a "To read" :)
