Kim Edward

(Okay, so I started this post a billion years ago and for some odd reason I never finished it. Until now. You're welcome. So I didn't alter what I already had written because I trust my fifteen year old self really wanted ya'll to know this. Basically, if you don't agree, just keep in mind that this really is a very good book ;) )

Kim Edward's The Memory Keeper's Daughter is an beautiful mix of love, hate, and how a single decision can change the course of many lives (some for better, some for worse).
Honestly, I loved the reality of the book, the reactions each character individually expressed. It kept me enthralled, and even the thought of it being an AP book wasn't enough to bore me.
What I didn't like: The basics of the story is a father is forced to deliver his children (though at the time he didn't know it was twins) and though his son is born fine, his daughter is born with Down's syndrome. I was fine with it up to that point. It wasn't until David made the decision to abandon the girl that I got somewhat confused.
In my personal opinion, I feel like it was very uncharacteristic of David to make this move. I understand the reason he did it (don't agree with them but I understand) but this man goes his whole life trying to help people and I just didn't feel like it was something he would do. However, it's not my book so Ms Edward can do what ever the heck she wants with it.
I honestly thought it was a worth while read and although it can be a little hard (emotionally) I think it's worth your time.
